Set on the first floor of a Georgian townhouse overlooking the park this apartment had been in our client’s family for many years, but more than two decades had passed since it was last renovated. Our brief was to breathe new life into the space, creating a calm and considered home that felt contemporary while remaining sympathetic to the character of the building. We introduced architectural detailing throughout to reinstate a sense of period character, layering this with a warm, refined palette of natural materials. Oak herringbone flooring runs throughout the apartment, while softly panelled walls provide an elegant backdrop to bespoke joinery and carefully considered lighting.
In the kitchen we paired muted green cabinetry with dramatically veined natural stone and reeded glass. While the bathroom we sourced a softly veined Emperador marble to compliment the green hue. The joinery throughout the apartment was all designed bespoke to maximise storage without compromising the proportions of the rooms.
Based overseas, our client entrusted us to oversee the renovation in its entirety. From design development and procurement through to installation and final styling, this project was fully turnkey. Working within an occupied building, we also managed the Licence to Alter process to deliver the apartment within the client’s desired timeframe.
