We led the extensive renovation of this property for our client, who was based outside of the UK at the time. With a busy career and a substantial time difference, she entrusted us to handle the entire process on her behalf. Leading the full project team, including a listed building consultant to bring the dated Grade II listed property into the twenty-first century, integrating modern essentials such as A/C & security.

At just under 800 sqft, this South Kensington apartment required meticulous planning to ensure every inch of the space was utilised. Its size presented several challenges we had to creatively overcome. From commissioning bespoke furniture and concealing A/C within bespoke joinery, to making the fireplace hearth flush with the new herringbone flooring to maximise the usable floor space, every detail of this design had a considered purpose.

“In our South Kensington project, we meticulously planned
every detail to transform this Grade II listed property into a modern, functional space that still honors its historical essence”

Co-Founder of Covet Noir

Our client's only brief was that she wanted to be 'wowed', so we enlisted a team of specialist makers, artisans, and suppliers to ensure we were able to achieve this. From designing a super prime oak herringbone floor with an ebony inset border, to the bespoke Swiss joinery, no expense was spared in the pursuit of quality and craftsmanship. One of the many specialists we worked with was a renowned plasterwork supplier, who restored the original moulded living room ceiling and developed a sympathetic design for raised & fielded panels to complement it.
